The Blue Duck Tavern features an extraordinary design concept by Tony Chi.
When combined with the classic American touches of dark oak and blue burlap and mixed with a
market-based menu featuring the names of the purveyors, the Blue Duck Tavern captures the region's unique historic and natural
attributes. Adding to the American feel of the Blue Duck Tavern are unique handcrafted wood furnishings that can be found throughout
the restaurant including a 29-foot long Windsor bench.
The restaurant welcomes guests with an open staff pantry and kitchen, complete with a wood-burning oven, as well
as the showpiece custom-designed commercial Molteni range, crafted in France and the first of its kind in Washington, D.C.
Handcrafted furnishings and heavy, uncovered wood tables keep the restaurant warm and contemporary, offering a welcoming
dining experience.
